Old Lace Birthday Card

Stamperia makes the most frilly, lacy cardstock ever. It is called Old Lace, and it’s not only brimming with femininity but a bit old-fashioned, too. I’d been saving it for someone special, and with my aunt’s birthday approaching, I took it out, dusted it off and began to cut the luscious pages.

I selected vintage corsets for cards and ruffle-embellished burlap for pockets. I added some crochet from my stash and garnished with Liquid Pearls, chocolate organdy ribbon, powdery white and rich cocoa inks, and Tim Holtz metal sentiments and charms. Because the cardstock is pretty fancy, not much was needed to sweeten it up. So, I practiced restraint. (I needed the practice.) 🙂

I hope this card will inspire you to create something sweet for a special someone.

Enjoy.
