WHERE TEAPOTS AND TUNA BREATH LIVE IN HARMONY
I designed my sister Michele’s birthday card using pretty Stamperia Dream paper. It showcases pink and blue-gray patterns and graphics, appealing to my girly side (as if I have different sides). I layered floral images on the front, and then I softened the feel with a Tim Holtz frame painted with shimmer paint, a pale pink rose with a glitter tulle bow and delicate, die-cut paper flowers along the bottom. The inside features an oversized pocket adorned with more glitter tulle. I stuffed the pocket with goodies–chocolate mint tea, coffee candy, a honey stick and a handcrafted Tim Holtz bookmark. A side pocket holds Michele’s ice cream gift card. The overall look was just what I was going for. (Don’t you love when that happens?) Something sweet, frilly and lovely for my younger sister.
Please excuse the amateurish video; it was my first. I held the card with one hand, cell phone recorded with my other hand and held my breath. I never intended to share it; I just wanted a memento. Everyone starts somewhere…
I hope I have inspired your heart and your fingers to create some eye candy of your own.
