WHERE TEAPOTS AND TUNA BREATH LIVE IN HARMONY
I first fell in love with the colors in Stamperia’s Orchids and Cats cardstock. I adorn my home with soft pinks and pale green so pastels always appeal to me. And who doesn’t love cats? (If you are a cat hater, you need to leave. Now.)
The florals remind me of images seen in both India and Japan. Beautiful, exotic and intriguing. I have an appreciation for birds. (I have been monitoring black birds nesting in the huge tree outside my balcony. Mom and dad are fiercely protective, and it’s a joy to experience.) And this cardstock features some lovely birds.
Although it is supposed to be a junk journal, I am hesitant to make one utterly trashy. Especially if it is created for someone else. No used magazine pages or shriveled doctor bills will ever have a starring role in one of mine. Instead, I like to sprinkle them with tea or avocado dyed papers and gently aged elements. Any bags used are brand new. 🙂 None of them smell like an old bologna sandwich. Promise. The lace may be vintage, but it’s collectible.
Enjoy.
